Frank Lampard best goals

Frank Lampard born on 20 June 1978, in London (England) is a famous professional footballer currently playing as a midfielder for Chelsea and at international level for the England national team.

Lampard is a product of West Ham United’s youth Academy. At a professional level he played for West Ham during 1995 and 2001, with a short break in the 1995/1996 season when he joined Swansea City on loan. In 2001 the English midfielder moved to rival London club Chelsea for £11 million, where he has played ever since. Lampard’s first years at the Premier League club were productive on an individual level, but the team was not in a solid position to compete for major trophies. In 2004 he reached double figures in league goals (10) for the first time in his career, showing his skills as an offensive midfielder, which have determined many people to consider him a complete player on his position. He is actually only the second midfielder to score 100 goals in Premier League history.

From 2005 Chelsea began to form a squad that would soon challenge any club in the world and Lampard was one of the most important men of the team in and out of the pitch, holding the position of vice-captain. During this period ‘The Blues’ managed to overcome the competition of rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, winning the Premier League title three times (2004–05, 2005–06, 2009–10), the FA Cup also on three occasions (2007, 2009, 2010) and the Football League Cup twice (2005, 2007). In 2008 Chelsea was very close to winning the important UEFA Champions League trophy, but in the end had to admit defeat in front of Manchester United.

Since 1999 and up to date Frank Lampard has also constantly played for the England national football team, for which he has scored 20 goals in 83 matches. However, England did not manage any important achievements during this period, despite benefiting from the contribution of many world class players, such as Frank Lampard.
