FC Barcelona are the champions in Primera Division. After a 2008-2010 season when Guardiola’s team won everything in the world, they manage to win again the title in Spain. It was a difficult race against Real Madrid, which was decided in “El Clasico”, when Barca beat them with 2-0.
With Lionel Messi in his best form and also author of 34 goals in Primera Division (plus 13 in other competitions) isn’t so hard to win Primera, isn’t?
FC Barcelona has an unbelievable ranking line. The were defeated only one time this season and in five other games FC Barcelona obtained only a draw. FC Barcelona won all other games (31) and they have now 99 points (almost 100 !!!). A performance which can’t be seen in any other championship from Europa. Barca scores 98 goals in 38 games.
Real Madrid is also remarkable: they have 96 points and they finish in second place. With this amount of points Real Madrid could be a comfortable leader in any other championship from Europe. NOT in Spanish Primera… ! Chelsea won title in England with 86 points and Inter won Serie A with 82. Both played same number of games (38). Real Madrid scores 102. More than a half were scored by Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo (27 +26 = 53). Only 7 else teams from Primera Division scored more goals than Higuain and C. Ronaldo in entire season.
Valencia and Sevilla are other two teams from Spain which will evolve next year in Champions League.
Mallorca was so close to catch a Champions League place, but they will play one level down next year: Europa League with Getafe and Villarreal.
Xerez, Tenerife and Valladolid are the teams which will play next year in Secunda Division.
