Uruguay vs. Ghana 1-1

What a game! 120 minutes of passion and hard work on the field leads Uruguay in a semi-impossible game with Holland. It was a game of joy and sorrow, with a lot of twists. At the end of the first half, Africa was standing in the front of a terrific goal of Muntari (45′+2). The joy is short as Forlan executes a beautiful free kick and scores the perfect goal. The game was played from one goal to another, accumulating a total of 20 corners and 17 shots on target. Many chances but a lot of luck for both teams. The end brings a draw 1-1 and the games goes in extra time. There were a total of 44 foults 6 yellow cards (equaly splited), Uruguay showing an agressive game. The possession was 49-51% in favour for Ghana. At the end of the extra time minutes the stadium was on fire as Suarez received a red card after putting the ball out of the goal with his hands. But disaster strikes when A. Gyan miss the penalty kick. Africa is crying! It was another chance for the south-americans which will not spoil it during the free kicks. At the score of 3-2 at penalties, Mensah miss but Pereira is not capable to end the game. After Ghana’s second miss (D. Adiyiah), Abreu scores a marvelous goal and brings his team to the next stage.
