He was born at 18 March 1949.

Alex Hurricane Higgins won World Champions twice and we was in the final for other two times. He got his nickname due to his playing style which was very fast.

Funny moment in Brazil during Palmeiras – Avai when an aggressive fault was made by one of the defender. The referee run to penalize him, but… wait? Where’s the card? He search all his pockets but the card wasn’t there. Soon a player brought the card to the referee. It was found on ground.

Thierry Henry signs with New York Red Bulls today and he lefts FC Barcelona after three years in Primera Division.

Henry will be presented Tuesday in a press conference by New York Red Bulls.

“Thierry Henry isn’t only a first-class player. He is also a person who showed during his carer he is a winner !” said Erik Soler, Red Bulls manager.

For Thierry Henry, at 33 years, this is a new challenge to help New York Red Bulls to gain their first title.

Gerard Pique spits Pedro Cortes

Spain become new World Cup winner but this don’t affect positive each player from this team. Some of them, like Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique don’t know how to celebrate such a victory. For them maybe this is a occasion to think something like this: “We are World Champions and we can do whatever we want now…”. Or i can’t find an explanation for Pique’s gesture, who spit Pedro Cortes, a former Valencia’s president, during Spanish celebration.

We can see in the video below how Cesc Fabregas shows someone from the crowd to Gerard Pique and in the following moments he simply spits Pedro Cortes and then they laugh.Very embarrassment moment for both players and also for entire Spanish team.

Spain confirmes her European Champion statute and gets the Worldcup, after 120 agonizing minutes of tough game with Holland! It was match with great stake that led to a rain of yellow cards, in total accumulating 13 for both teams, and one red card for J. Heitinga in the minute 109′ which was probably fatal for Holland as 8 minutes later A. Iniesta scores (117′) and bring the much-wanted title to Spain. The possession was clearly in the favour of the iberics 56 – 46% but there were great oportunities to score for Holland, but Robben didn’t had the inspiration to get points. At the end of South African championship we have the stage: Spain, Holland and Germany and a premier, the first european champion in an outside the continent tournament!
